My research interests concern fundamental aspects of (super) string theory. In particular, I have been working since my PhD with the pure spinor (PS) formalism, which is a relatively modern approach to the string, that preserves explicitly the super Poincaré symmetry after quantization (as opposite to the known Ramond-Neveu-Schwarz and Green-Schwarz formalisms). The PS formalism has been proven more powerful due to the symetry preserving character but so far there is no simple way to build it from first principles. My work now focus on a better understanding of the formalism and its worldsheet origin.
